#SixOfRereads: A Six of Crows-inspired rereadathon

Are you dying to reread a few of your favourites, but feel too guilty about abandoning your TBR? Then this is the challenge you’ve been waiting for!

I’ve been hinting at it for months on my bookstagram and here it finally is! Coming in July 2020: #SixOfRereads, a rereadathon inspired by Queen Leigh Bardugo’s incomparable Six of Crows duology!

How did it start?

I was chatting to a friend (Bianca over at yourwordsmyink.com) about the awesome rep in this duology that we’re both obsessed with and how badly I want to reread it, and the idea was born. I’m sure we all have certain books that we’re dying to reread, but there are so many new ones that you feel guilty abandoning your TBR. Then I thought well, a rereadathon would be the perfect thing. Make it a challenge and nobody will feel guilty!

I originally planned it for June, but then realised there were already so many awesome readathons happening – so I decided to postpone it to July.

What is it?

Basically, this rereadathon is an excuse to reread all your faves – especially if those favourites include the Six of Crows duology *nudge nudge wink wink*. There will be six prompts: one of them is obviously aimed at a specific book (but you could make it fit other books as well) and the others are purposefully vague so that you can make it fit the books YOU want to reread. This challenge is all about you and the books you want to reread, so you can do as few or as many of the prompts as you want to. There will also be a photo challenge, a trivia night, a 24hr readathon, frequent reading sprints, and a giveaway!

The prompts

There are six challenges and you can do as few or as many as you want to. Completing all 6 challenges gets you an extra entry into the giveaway! Also, if you read Six of Crows for the THE THIEF prompt, you get another two extra entries.

THE THIEF: A book about a heist
THE WRAITH: A book that haunts you
THE HEARTRENDER: A book that broke your heart
THE CONVICT: A book with an arresting twist
THE SHARPSHOOTER: A book with very accurate representation
THE RUNAWAY: A book that ran away with you

The photo challenge

The photo challenge will take place on Instagram, and all posts need to feature the hashtag #SixOfRereads as well as the specific tag for that day. The challenge is for every Wednesday and Saturday, except for the wrap-up. Completing all the photo challenges earns you an extra entry into the giveaway!

1 July: #TheMenagerie | Post your rereadathon TBR!
4 July: #TheSlat | Show your Dregs some love in your caption
8 July: #TheIceCourt | Your favourite anti-hero
11 July: #TheGlassBridge | A memorable quote
15 July: #TheWhiteRose | A sweet, innocent romance
18 July: #TheBarrel | Found family trope
22 July: #WhiteIsland | Map Monday
25 July: #Hellgate | A grand escape
31 July: #TheCrowClub | Pay up: rereadathon wrap-up

What if I’ve never read Six of Crows before?
No problem – now is the perfect time to read it for the first time and find out why so many people are obsessed with it!

And that’s it! If you have any questions please leave a comment below or send me a DM on my Instagram, or you can even e-mail me at ami.thebooktrovert@gmail.com.

I will be sharing all of the info over on my bookstragram as well, and I might be having a live at some point during June to discuss the rereadathon and answer all your questions. I’ll also be sharing some cool templates!
